Computer Cafe - Russell Room

Each Friday morning the Village Hall opens their Computer Cafe from 9am until 12:30. This is a drop-in cafe where you can bring all your computing problems and get a cup of coffee. We have five very friendly mentors with a combined wealth of experience covering a total of more than 130 years! So whether it's 'how do I download something' to 'help, my computer has stopped working' we will be able to solve it.

If you are experiencing problems on a laptop, tablet or smartphone please bring it in and let us help you. If you have a desktop computer you can of course bring that, although it may not be too easy - in which case, if we can't help you in the Computer Cafe one of our mentors will make a home visit for a small fee.

And we only charge £2 per 30 minutes with a capped charge of £8 per session. Oh, and did we mention the free refreshments?

Longwater Tai Chi Tai Chi and Qigong - Main hall

BEGINNERS WELCOME. Our first class is a weekly class starting on Thursdays at 10:30pm and beginners are welcome any week. No need to sign up for a course. Integrates the essential elements of tai chi practice. Helps to develop balance, strength, coordination, whilst reducing stress and anxiety. Proven to work using slow, smooth, continuous movement to improve body, mind and spirit.

Trust Me I’m A Doctor, reported that tai chi is as effective as Zumba for improvements in health. Last year we were involved in a trial looking at tai chi and arthritis. We are waiting for the results to be published, but they look very promising!

We are a friendly group of retired NHS staff (and their partners and friends) who meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 10am in the main hall. We are a Christian denomination and members of the Evangelical Alliance. Services and studies are held in 37 locations around the UK and Ireland.
